Jamie - Studio Owner

I’m Jamie, a yoga teacher, breathwork guide, runner, and mum of two young boys. I believe in the quiet power of movement and breath to anchor us, soften us, and bring us back to ourselves.

My classes weave together strength and softness, mobility and stillness, effort and ease. I teach with a grounded, down-to-earth style that helps you feel supported while you explore what your body is capable of.

I’m passionate about creating a space where you can slow down, reconnect, and find a sense of steadiness within the busyness of everyday life. If you leave feeling more spacious, more present, or simply more you, then I’ve done my job well.

I started practicing yoga 30 years ago and I never looked back. I have practiced in countless yoga studios over the decades both in Australia and overseas - taking classes in Hatha, Iyengar, Yin, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Bikram Yoga.

I love teaching and practising Yoga, and it will always be an integral part of my life and my passion. I truly believe that as yogis we are life-long students and teachers, and I want to spread the joy of yoga to others so they can experience its amazing physical and mental benefits.

In addition to teaching yoga, I am an artist (I have a A Master Degree in Cross Disciplinary Art and Design), and I also work with children and adults with disabilities.

I am a passionate & energised yogi.  I love to create a mindful existence for each of my students.  You will become more in tune with your body, enabling you to overcome challenges and find an inner calmness during your discovery of yoga.

I love to teach many different styles of yoga. A traditional ashtanga practice, vinyasa flow, hot yoga & yin yoga.   I am a huge advocate of yin yoga or stretch classes as it allows our body to find some length and space within.  Not only do we need yoga for our bodies, our mind craves breath and meditation and this is also incorporated in my classes as well.

I love to spend time out in the open, especially in that amazing deep blue sea.  It makes you feel alive, cleanses your body and grounds us back to the earth.

My favourite quote at the moment is:

“If you cannot find the sunshine, be the sunshine!!!”
